Hello Key Biscayne!
In these trying times the Rag has an important favor to ask: could you guys do something interesting so thereโs something to write about here? Thanks.
A manatee crosses Crandon earlier this week.
The one thing that kinda happened
Field of dreams 202 Sunrise, the apartment complex in the Garden District that was once considered for a public park, is for sale again. Theyโre asking $10.5m, and it comes complete with plans on how to develop it to look just like 101 Sunrise. Will there be another push by residents to buy it?๐

Key rats doing stuff
Sew-a-bag What do you do with your old clothes and linens? Do you throw them out? Thatโs little brain thinking. Big brain thinking is gathering people on the key to sew the scraps into cool looking bags. Theyโre looking for more help, and more scraps. ๐
Be kind, rewind Kindness in the schools is, โa community-wide initiative whose mission is to promote a culture of kindness and respect and support in upcoming kindness initiatives throughout our community.โ They recently drew kind messages in chalk on the sidewalks near the school. It took a lot of restraint not to make fun of this. ๐

The Haunted Hike is Key Biscayne's spookiest Halloween experience. It's taking place Oct. 18-19 at Bill Baggs State Park. Fun and scary for the whole family. Are you interested in scaring little kids and their parents? Participating in the Hike is a blast and there's big cash prizes this year. |

A penny for your hot takes
Every once in a while in these community chats someone will post about a speed trap or DUI checkpoint on Crandon. These messages alert hundreds, maybe even thousands, of drivers of police efforts to try and bust illegal activity. Do you think thatโs a good thing? Reply to this email and share your thoughts. ๐คณ๐
