As you’ve surely heard, covid is still a thing this week after messing up the holidays for so many. Even the mayor got the bug. But isn’t it impressive that when things get tough, you start seeing more of your fellow neighbors wearing masks outside? Chyeah right. As an avid reader pointed out, this is the Key, not exactly a place filled with Mother Teresas. If you see someone with a mask outside it’s more likely that they have it. 😆

Passing thru A massive 20ft (6m) great white shark was spotted off the coast of the island over the holiday. Was it really that long? He said, she said, but there’s a video so you can judge for yourself.
The curious thing is that it happened almost exactly two years to the day from the last time a great white was spotted off the island. Was it the same one? Probably not. 🦈

Fire also works If you’re a real grinch and can’t wait to get rid of your tree and the holiday spirit along with it, you’ll have to wait just a little longer. Trees should be left out for bulk trash pickup which starts this coming Tuesday, Jan. 11th [pdf].
Condo dwellers can get rid of it now, though, by leaving it on the swale outside their building. Very anxious homeowners can also get rid of it by driving around and finding a pile of trees outside a condo building. 🌲
