Hello Key Biscayne!
Sunsets don't get old but photos of them certainly do.
Hey, if there’s something we should be talking about that you’re not seeing in print, why not reply to this email and let us know?
Hard hitting news this week
Live poets club
You all keep impressing with the poetry. It really is a treat to receive these more abstract and whimsical takes when so much of the banter around town is focused on the ins and outs; the technical side of things. Even these simple KB ZipOdes convey much more of the feel of the island than any descriptive prose ever could.
Bret? Fausto? Joe?
Who’ll it be?
You get to decide.
Until then, we’ll just have to wait and see.
And now one in the primary language of the island:
Hace 60 años
Al Cayo llegué
Ahora el gran Puente
Trae Ferraris, Maseratis, Porsches, Mercedes a muy grandes Casotas
If you missed what this is about, not only is it national poetry month, but there’s a great poetry festival in Miami that encourages everyone to get into poetry, even if only for a moment. Check out the rules and send one in; next week will be the final run of this section.

From the peanut gallery
Huzzah, huzzah on the salute to Ron Erbel. He kept promising to show me how to catch stone crabs. He knew how to drink wine, too.
I did not know Ron had died. I knew he was In the hospital and for quite some time and Victoria had to go back to flying; so sad, he was a kind man.
Most of this week’s Islander is dedicated to Ron. 🎩⚰️🎩
